What is your general lead time from sign up to installation?
We generally require 2-3 weeks from the time you decide to go ahead with us, to the installation day. This can sometimes be shorter and we can be flexible as well, if you require a longer time frame.
How long does it take to install a solar power system?
The average home on the Sunshine Coast will install between 3- 5kW of solar panels. It usually takes between half a day to and 1 day to install do a thorough installation of 5kW. We would generally only need around 1 hour to access internal roof space.
How often is it recommended that the panels are ‘serviced’?
Panels need to be cleaned every 3-6 months to keep maximum efficiency. You can lose up to 5% efficiency if they are not clean. If you wish you can clean them yourself or contact us for more options.
What are the typical warranties on solar panels?
The typical Solar Industry standard is a 10-12 year manufacturer’s warranty.
There is also a performance guarantee that states that the panels will perform up to 90% of their maximum efficiency for the first 10 years and then to a minimum of 80% efficiency for the first 25 years.
Labor Warranty?
We offer a 10 year guarantee on our installations.
At a rental property, who will contact the tenants to let them know of works and to make arrangements?
The installer will contact the tenants prior to installation.
